FPV Strike Drone Factory: 'Hummingbird' Striking Enemy Targets

FPV Strike Drone Factory — a joint project of the Wavlia'91 charitable foundation and the National Guard of Ukraine. The factory develops and manufactures drones equipped with FPV (first person view) flight control system.

Why these drones?

  • FPV strike drones are effective on the battlefield, and their cost is relatively democratic — 200-300 dollars. For comparison: if the DJI Mavic 3 Fly More Combo costs about 2.5-3 thousand dollars, moreover, they are exported in limited quantities, then the cost of our drone is 200-300 dollars. That is, the probability that eight to ten FPVs will hit the target is greater than that of a single “mavik”. However, the most effective FPV drone works in tandem with the “Mavik”, which scouts and determines the target, and also, thanks to a high-quality camera, can record the moment of damage by a strike drone.
  • One of the key advantages of FPV drones is their ability to conduct strike operations. They strike enemy targets with great accuracy and minimal risk to their own forces. They have high maneuverability and can penetrate hard-to-reach places: the doors of buildings, narrow spaces or the compartment of the tank. When used correctly, these drones successfully hit enemy targets: trenches, BTRs, pickups, KAMAZ.
  • Reb (radio-electronic warfare) means almost do not work on FPV attack drones: according to the experience of the military, this is 1 in 100 cases. That is, such a drone is practically invisible to the occupiers, and therefore operates without hindrance on their part.

Basic model of the FPV strike drone — “Hummingbird”

Its characteristics are:

  • application distance — up to 6 km;
  • load capacity — up to 1 kg;
  • flight time - up to 15 min. ;
  • flight speed without ammunition — up to 170 km/h;
    recommended speed during combat sortie — 40-60 km/h.

Operation of FPV Strike Drones

Did you know that...
The FPV strike drone does not have to be launched in one direction, it can also be used repeatedly. A projectile is attached to the bottom of the drone, which destroys the target. However, if the target is insignificant, then the dropper can also be fixed — then the drone can drop the ammunition and return. This minimizes production costs.
